Electric hoist is a lifting equipment widely used in industry, construction and other fields. There are CD MD type electric wire rope hoist and European type hoists and explosion proof hoist etc.. It can help workers complete a variety of heavy cargo transportation tasks quickly and efficiently. However, when using electric hoists, we also need to pay attention to its use, maintenance and safety issues. Below we will explain in detail the precautions for the use, maintenance and safety of electric hoists.

1. A newly installed electric hoist or an electric hoist installed after disassembly and inspection should first be tested with no load for several times. However, do not turn on the power for a test run before the installation is complete.

2. Before powering on, please confirm whether the cable connections are correct and secure; pay attention to whether the upward and downward directions are consistent with the arrow directions of the control buttons, otherwise the phase must be adjusted.

3. Conduct repeated lifting and left-right movement tests with the rated load weight. After the test, check whether the mechanical transmission part, electrical part and connecting part are normal and reliable.

4. Before each use, the electric hoist must be started for no-load operation and the following items must be checked:

(a) Whether the button can reliably control the lifting and operation of the hoist;

(b) Is there any abnormal sound or smell during operation；

(c) Whether the wire rope can be wound correctly on the drum. In case of abnormal conditions, they should be eliminated in time before use.

5. It is not allowed to lift heavy objects at an angle, use a hoist to drag heavy objects along the ground, or use the end of the hook to lift heavy objects.

6. The fire limiter and weight limiter are insurance devices to prevent accidents caused by lifting or lowering the hook beyond the limit position. They should not be used frequently as a travel switch, let alone dismantled.

7. During installation, commissioning and maintenance, it is necessary to strictly check whether the limit device is flexible and reliable. When the hook rises to the upper limit position, the distance from the hook shell to the drum shell must be greater than 250 mm. When the hook reaches the lower limit position, the safety circle of the wire rope on the drum should be adjusted. The effective safety circle must be more than 3 circles.

8. If a button failure, contact adhesion, etc. occurs during use, you should immediately press the emergency stop button to cut off the main power supply, and have a qualified electrician perform inspection and maintenance.

9. Do not use an electric hoist to hang heavy objects in the air for a long time to prevent permanent deformation of the parts.
